Roger and thread:

Anyone know of a searchable website that tells us the cash-burn rate (i.e.negative earnings) of a company? Stocktools is off the air for some reason, but I'm not sure they even had the info when they were up.

MIL (Millipore) is losing over $2 a share and is now doing great as a short, even as the markets rose yesterday and today. I'd like to find other companies in similar trouble as shorting candidates.

Thanks in advance!

RS

Roger, just increased my ctxs short. I couldn't resist 74 1/2. I'm keeping plenty of ammo if the stock keeps rising on the news of making the Nasdaq 100 list.

I think the battered techs are poised for a short term rally, probably until mid-January. I expect it to get very interesting for shorts after that. Stocks like AOL, CTXS and YHOO will probably have their own agenda and I am hoping they start tanking right after the new year.

Roger, ALTIF. New short candidate. Just completed variable convertible debt offering. "Development" stage company - i.e. no revenues. Market Cap: 15.2M shares X 14 = $213M.

IMO, complete garbage.
