Measure agave not by its percentage of fructose, but by how much fructose you're actually taking in when you eat it. The fructose "load," if you will. Measure it in grams. Davis says keep fructose consumption under 20g/day. How many grams of fructose are in your daily agave? How much agave are you eating in a day?

With the health gains you've made since changing your diet (congrats!), it sounds like you're not eating much agave at all. That would explain a lot. Even if agave were 100% fructose, you're fine if you're only eating a few grams per day. No need to look for a different sweetener if your daily fructose load is tiny. Measure it.
