Gary, I am a very blunt direct speak person.

The scientific community, your anonymous scientific community has an opinion. The scientists and engineers that I know, know how to use fossil fuels cleanly. But you have many countries where the lefties in power donot give a crap about the poor, only themselves. The pay lip service to green loon stuff so they can get on the gravy train of subsidies.

Your statement tells me you are very ignorant of science and engineering.

Do you believe there is any science behind the suppose gloom and doom anthropogenic global warming fears? Trillions of dollars are being wasted.

There is plenty of money to fix whatever, but the across the boards ignorance of science and political based lying is creating false bogey men and that is the current racket wasting resources.

If you would like to read a real scientific discourse explaining what the science of CO2 gloom and doom predictions is all about.

sciencespeak.com Which by the way predict global cooling for the next few years.
It all fits together.

"Decades ago shale oil was discussed much in the same manner as coal is, i.e. you'd have to mine it. Now with fracking, we've found a way to do the job without mining it, but just a few problems have been a result."

I sorta liked your post until this - where you showed that you have absolutely - absolutely - no idea of what you are talking about. Absolutely NO idea.

Do some research on "shale". Become an informed poster on energy - and until you do - go away in the shame of ignorance.

Learn what Kerogen is as compared to shale. Become informed. As you are now you are simply an example of why the loony left is - well - loony.

One of my great criticisms of the loony left is energy ignorance - and you are an example.

Ignorance is not yet a crime - but the harm ignorance brings is unlimited.

It is really sad when the media echoes ignorance and the ignorant believe. Shame on you.

Bob
