Technology enabled the parasitic economy. New entrants try to make money off what is already there.

The Internet is the most clear example as it started the telephone network was already there and used a great part of what was built for voice and fax,

OTT are parasites of the mobile network. Now more and more entrants are jumping into the bandwagon.

In the article about seeking a job on startups I try to explain that startups are parasites too. They use incentives to grown and then move on. The employees, once the startup is bought by a big company are de-assimilated.
