From the EETimes article I posted earlier about GPUs, I find this to be something AMD needs to straighten out:

Whether AMD can re-take the performance crown in this round remains to be seen. McCarron has no hard dates from AMD when Polaris will be available, but assumes it must ship by early October or risk missing the lucrative holiday sales season.

I keep seeing references to late Q3 for Polaris cards shipping, while Nvidia will be shipping Pascal in a few weeks. A month or two back, all the chatter was AMD shipping in late Q2, and Nvidia not shipping retail Pascal until Q4. Things have rather inverted.

But AMD got quite the spike both yesterday and today, I assume off expectations of Polaris info, which didn't appear to happen.
