Hey Bob, religion is fine. Unfortunately, there is still much animosity in the world due to events that happened decades, hundreds, or thousands of years ago between peoples of different nations, skin color, religion, etc. example - Armenia and Turkey, I believe. Was it a massacre that happened 50-60 years ago that people still get worked up about and want revenge for? And then, some people want caucasian Americans to apologize for slavery of 2-300 years ago. Given that most whites ancestors came to this land after slavery was outlawed, you could ask why; but also even if my ancestors came on the mayflower, am I responsible for what their kids did? If so, am I also responsible for the fact that my great-great grandfather was a horse thief in Prussia? (He was never caught) There will only be true peace on the planet when people live in the present and don't dwell in the past. this is not to say that studying history is a waste, it is not, but the direction of times arrow is forward, not backward.
