Jonathan Ive designed the tables... WTF is the exec in charge of hardware and software design for a 516Billion Dollar company doing designing wooden tables?

The reason:

I heard that they asked him,

but like most people at Apple,

he doesn't do Windows!

So he's doing tables.

(They've got to have him doing something useful, no?)

I've got to be careful, I really hurt myself with that one!

Doren,

Ive didn't design the tables. A man named Jean-Michel Frank designed the Parsons Table, which is what that is, back in the '30s. The most Ive contributed to it was a power strip down the middle.

That front wall of glass that opens is pretty cool imo.

Jonathan Ive designed the tables...

Jony's no longer directly manages software and hardware design anymore.

"Ive’s new role will still leave him in charge of the company’s hardware and software design teams overall, but allowing others to handle the day-to-day affairs of each design group will free him up for other tasks. Among those other tasks, Ive says, is a focus on the design of Apple’s retail stores and new campus."
