...XCIT's thinking is in line with yours. They argue that they are focused on picking up market share, and thus profits are not that important to them (right now). This generally makes sense for smaller companies like these guys.

XCIT actually does a better job than YHOO on a revenue/page view basis (and on a revenue/unique visitor basis); this should be a red flag for anyone investing in the "leader" YHOO.
