Joe, Novell has 350 million shares to feed and despite their troubles they are still trading at more than twice their annual revenues. Obviously I don't have to tell you that. What Corel needs is to reign in expenses and focus on their core market where they actually do enjoy a strong following. If they can bring in new leadership, they have a far better chance of recovery than Micrographx did. If you recall it was the CEO and founder of MGXI that was causing the problems. Again, I would challenge Corel to take on Visio, not Microsoft, and come that's going to take a real commitement. They don't have the software design talent and that was made abundantly clear by the Java fiasco. Here's the other thing Joe, there is no way this lack of an action plan is any accident and they clearly charged off as much as they could to last quarter. I remember thinking MGXI was a total write off and despite having done nothing substantial they have managed to turn things around. It's matter of coming to grips with just how incompetent Cowpland really is and taking steps to remedy that situtation. The NC and OLAP efforts are beneficial insofar as they reveal what a completely mindless individual they have at the helm.
