No, I don't agree at all. vs the real consequence of our government extracting more from the free economy is something that must be worked into our seasonality patterns. We've done very, very little over the past 8 years to improve our economy. Blaming weak 1st quarters on tax hikes is another pie-in-the-sky explanation, IMO. While politics has a significant portion to play in all this, answers like yours fail in the grand scheme. I think it's easier to blame the animosity between the 2 parties before I blame a tax hike. Our current political situation strikes me more like trench warfare in world war 1. The generals direct their "combatants" to suicidal missions in the mud, instead of finding solutions. Both sides constantly create demons that simply don't exist. Do yourself a favor. Don't by into the rhetoric.... Anecdotal to this conversation, I find it humorous that the only recommendation to your post was by FUHBO, who recently banned me from one of the threads he's moderated for posting a news article. I literally couldn't believe it but that's how it is. When I clicked on the "ban" detail, he stated that I was "promoting" this said article. All I did was post it. I guess that doesn't matter because he decided, for what appear to be political reasons, to ban me. His prerogative but ultimately a very telling move. I truly try to rise above the BS.....I suggest others do the same.... TO
