Doren, huh? Is that sarcasm or irony? Which ever, when was the last time you had a choice of on hold music?

WOW! Technology indistinguishable from magic!
That's 'cause it is magic.

:-)
Here is a scientific experiment:

Get an iPhone that you no longer love.
When unplugged, cut the wire to the charger on said iPhone.
Get one of those self-repair appliance plugs and attach to wires.
Plug iPhone into wall socket.

You will see a cloud of the magic smoke leaving the iPhone.
There may be other special effects as well, like fire - stand back, it's all magic and magic can be dangerous.

To prove that it was the magic smoke that runs the iPhone, once flames, if any, have died down, unplug iPhone and try turning it on.

Disclaimer 1: This experiment should really only be done by a professional.

Disclaimer 2: If you don't hear from me for a while after this, well, sometimes Apple has its people reading this board and when they realize that I gave away their secret trade secret… If I am taken captive, I will escape. I always keep some extra magic smoke in my pocket!
