I agree and speculate that one large seller (mutual fund) was trying to unload which would explain why it dipped to 15+. I wish I had the cash to buy at that steal price. But as we all have observed, we can not predict or explain what is going on here, but certainly nothing fundamentally "appears" to have changed.

From a product side, I was pleased to see SNDK's CF being sold in the Wolf Camera store at a mall here in Atlanta. Wolf is a major camera chain in this area. I did a lot of shopping around Atlanta and New Mexico at computer/consumer electronic stores. Only the camera stores had the time or people to explain the benefits of a digital camera. CompuUSA had a crowded display and no one helping customers distinguish among the products. I had to tell a few people who were gaga over Sony's camera with a floppy that that was a bad route to take and that the CF or SmartMedia was preferred. Couldn't tell if digital cameras were selling like "hotcakes" but did get the impression from those who recently purchased one that they can't stop talking about how great they are. People love emailing pictures of kids opening presents to family members. Still mixed feelings among potential purchasers about the resolution of 640x480 digital cameras versus 35 mm because people do not realize how they will use them differently. I think retailers should have a PC near the digital camera display and demonstrate how easy it is to email a picture to a friend. A strong selling technique, I would think.
