The competition will be fierce and Apple will have to lower their selling prices to build market share.
The circumstances were not thought to be any different in China and other EM countries in which Apple subsequently experienced strong sales. Apple has never been concerned about building "market share." And when in the last 7 years could you say, the smartphone market was not experiencing "fierce competition?" Apple has competitive advantages that have allowed it to capture 90+% of smartphone profit share. Those competitive advantages are what is missed by people who don't appreciate Apple's value and use propositions. I learned early on not to evaluate a market based on my own tastes.

India needs to build out 4G/LTE. I expect Apple will have at least as good results in India as it has in China in time.
