I'm guessing that Trump believes he may need some sanders supporters to beat Clinton. And that he has a better chance of peeling off some of sanders support than sanders has of getting some of his supporters. No other logical reason comes to mind. I

It is a great move by Trump. It sidelines Crooked Hillary as a non-entity. Trump already has a ton of Burn-dog supporters once Bernie is officially out. Now there will be a ton more. The debate format creates a this or that. It leads to a Hobsons choice. Anyway, the Bernie support is just a kids time-out for a beer and a laugh. The truth is that democrats don't have a candidate. The trump victory will be HUGE! It will be a landslide for Trump, as you have correctly said many times. If Trump is as smart as I think he is, he will tell Bernie to make the debate a lot of humour. They are both old enough to know that they should take it easy and enjoy the stage. And Bernie knows he is only playing for ego! Not that he has one! ;-) And the biggest and best of the "debate" is that Trump immediately played it for charity for women's issues (ten MILLION dollars)! BRILLIANT! He is showing the voting public what deal-making is about. AMERICA FIRST! The man has written 18 books. He loves America. And your thread is a credit to Donald, to business, to America, and to humanity. Thumbs up!
