It's certainly good to know that times have changed. During the mid-80s out of about 10 students who used the Unix boxes two used them for research and modeling, 8 were hackers, and none of them had any social skills.

It would be interesting to study any correlation between MS Windows (Win95) and high school interest in computers simply because when the students are in high school and perhaps haven't decided on a career or don't have much of an interest in computers, MS Windows would be a lot better introduction to them than DOS or Unix. It's good to hear that they're curiosity is continuing as they move on in their education.
