I'm against minimum wages, but if your going to have them across a large diverse nation, they should take cost of living in to account. What would be a meaningless minimum in San Francisco, not even raising the wage of entry level people because they are already past that level, would be a damaging increase in business cost, and discouragement to hiring workers in the poorest and lowest cost sections of the country.
