Two 500 year rains in 6 weeks? Congrats. A Flash Flood Emergency has been issued for Burleson, Washington, Waller, Grimes, Brazos, Montgomery, Harris and Austin counties until 8:15am. More than 10-14 inches of rain fell across that entire area Thursday, causing widespread flooding. Roads are under water and many homes are flooded. With more rain expected overnight and Friday, the situation could get worse. This is only the third time the Houston-Galveston National Weather Service office has issued a Flash Flood Emergency.
