Well, there's glass, and then there's Bulk Metallic Glass

Might it be a strategic mis-direction to refer to the material to be used as "glass" when it will actually be "Bulk Metallic Glass"?

I don't understand the appeal of an all glass iPhone.
Yes. I wasn't commenting on the all glass speculation. Rather, I welcome the idea of getting away from the annual September launch cycle with "whole numbers" and "whole numbers S" in alternate years. It makes sales too lumpy and it leads to negative gaming by the media. And the S cycle has become associated with an inferior upgrade. I'd rather see different segments released at different times during the year, ie a Pro model, SE model, annual upgrade model with something less than all the new bells and whistles.

Also, as quarterly unit sales reach 50-70 million and up, the annual launch increasingly will become a logistics nightmare. There are two data points in the last 8-9 months that suggest Apple has had problems gauging demand with the 6S and SE launches.

In general, the more smooth/less lumpy sales are, the better. Two year+ upgrade cycles and once a year launches are too lumpy and too predictable to the media and competition.
