Sharholders of record on dec.31st will participate in the split, and Jan 20th is when the split takes effect i believe. Also i heard somewhere that 31st Dec and 2nd Jan will have a full day of trading,hope somebody can verify this.

you can buy stk on the 20th and still get the split if it splits at 3pm on jan 20th.
now the dividend is dif.
you may have to own stk as of wednesday to get the divey
