Eric, you miss the point of things. The point of the diesel generator was just to show the size of the machinery that could provide the electricity required.

< Even NG fired gas turbines are much, much cheaper way to produce electrons, not to mention much cleaner for the environment.>

Why do you think they sell those diesel machines then Eric? I will give you a hint. It's because natural gas isn't available everywhere at a price that competes with diesel fuel. For example, do you know the price of methane compared with diesel fuel on Rarotonga. And yes Mr Genius, where the sun shines brightly and continuously, photovoltaics are often cheaper than doing other things to get electricity. But as you might be able to imagine, at night, or in winter near the poles, and especially in London where cloud is normal, there is not a lot of your free electricity available.

Right now, the gigafactory is not in operation and storage of electricity is uneconomic for everything.and everywhere, all the time.

So forget the diesel and try to get the point. You almost fail the Turing test. Come to think of it, maybe you do. What did you think of the rest or were you unable to read completely?
