Calvin, <Anybody know what's going on?> It's called "messing with investor's heads". The last few weeks, one of the people here, "michael", has been going through a personal nightmare with this stock. Others have not (at least not publically to the extent he has). And, I would expect that there are those who simply are waiting to buy the stock after this IXC thing is just over and done with. The proxy does make it clear that the deal is crucial, from PSInet's point of view, to the future of the company. Anyway, I've seen this with so many stocks and this new online way of discussing stocks can also exacerbate the worry and (in good times) "irrational exuberance" of a stock. That's my answer to your question! Regards, Dave
