This is still about the speakers that I ordered, which I like very much.

Responding to your comments on how I do business...

I asked for and received an authorization to return.

The authorization to return included language that states I won't receive a refund for the return until they receive it.

Later I received a message telling me that I have been issued a full, unconditional refund with no contingency on returning the item.

The unconditional refund I received is not tied in any way to the authorization to return they sent me.

They are two separate things.

An authorization to return is not an obligation, agreement or commitment to return, it's just an authorization to return it if I want to.

Whether or not I decide to exercise my authorization to return is up to me.

Meanwhile, I just ordered another item from Amazon, (A metal detector, cheaper than anywhere else I could find it) and saw a notice that the price of the speakers is now back up to $179.99.

That $149.99 pricing window was only open for a few days, and in my opinion was an excellent price for a quality 2.1 speaker set.

Heck, I was happy with them at the $179.99 price.
