But for your request to return the item the authorization to return would not have been issued. You initiated the transaction.

I hope that down the road Amazon realizes that the item has not been returned and they charge your account again.

I've had the exact same situation as you with Amazon. I returned the item because that was the deal I made.

You call it business. I call it being a thief.
