Yes of course, as I've been pointing out with the GPU launch: AMD won't win in performance, won't win in power, so they will use price as the one control they can attempt to turn. That is what worries my about Polaris, they seem to be slipping back into their old familiar ways, and I don't see that as good. The GPU market isn't going to magically grow by a large amount simply because there is a good performing card at a cheap price. ASP will decline significantly instead. The same will go for DT CPUs when Zen starts shipping. Desktop volumes aren't going to go up 30% when Zen ships. So hopefully AMD doesn't bomb prices in half with the hope that volumes will make up the difference.
