Everyone gets the split. Always. The date of record is for the accounting of the physical shares, and unless you are holding your shares yourself, will mean nothing to you. Your broker will take care of the accounting and the number of shares in your account will double as the price is halved.

Steve is right about the dividend. Dividends are paid to holders of the stock on certain dates and to get the dividend you have to hold the stock on that day.

mark, I agree..it will split after close on 20th.
buy it at 2:55pm on 20th and you get the split
