If the situation gets much worse (if it has not bottomed out), then it may be time to call in the SEC wolves on the specialist????

I can find nothing basically wrong with the company and management in trying to get the company "turned around" and back in to black ink, a process we all should know takes time. Think we were all caught in the largely down general market of the last quarter of this year and small stocks were not only mostly out of favor, but many just plain dumped, CYI just one among them. For one, I'm not going to throw the baby out with the bath water, and am holding it firmly with the strong faith it will grow and prosper later in the new year. Disgusted with price, YES. Fully discouraged about CYI future, NO.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Let's hope 1998 is the year we can all finally move forward with our involvement in Cycomm.

Let's look behind us at 1997 as being a year of consolidation and a shedding of the past (along with a lot of pain for shareholders).

1998 is now for Cycomm to build a solid share price based on earnings and growing market share.

To do this it must communicate better with the market and shareholders.

When Cycomm has positive earnings and more big contracts then everyone will listen (bottom line) but most importantly it also has to sell the dream (top line) if it wants to break out of its >$5 position.

I think we will see this in the next 4 to 6 months.

No recapitalizations or reverse-splits should be contemplated to maintain share values...management must now perform and ensure the company is moving into every available market and chasing every sales lead and quoting on every government contract and not waiting for resellers to make or break the company's revenues.

Every positive development for the company should be announced to the market, including the relatively trivial, if the name "Cycomm" is ever going to be known in the market. Remember when you aren't setting your media agenda your detractors will do it for you.

Equally it is up to management to determine the share price otherwise those who seek to profit from trading weakness through poor volumes and volatility (ie market makers/specialists) will do it for you.

What all this means is that the company is in control of its own destiny and must get the resolve or "fire in the belly" to make 1998 a big year for Cycomm.

Best of luck for the New Year to everyone including the staff and management at CYI.

Rob

I bought in at 1 5/16. Some of the posts I read last night were suggesting a bid/ask spread of $.50. All day it traded at a 1/8 spread and they were filling in between most of the time. That's decent market making considering the low price. Why are people complaining about that? As for the low after hours bids and large spreads, I doubt that the stock trades after hours and those spreads may simply represent "on the close" bid/ask, not the specialist's pricing. Happy trading in '98.
