<<< Jenkins said the BMS contract would likely tie up 60 engineers for 2 years >>>

Not exactly; the word "likely" is missing. Here's the e-mail message (which came to this board from TM through Venture Returns E-mail Network? Weird. Also, I'm not sure these comments by Jenkins were intended for public discussion. They go way beyond the press release.)

>CEO Jenkins Comments on Topro's Contract with Bristol-Myers Squibb
>
>Corvallis. Venture Returns E-mail Network. Dec. 19, 1997. Topro
>announced a major contract with Bristol-Myers Squibb this morning. Later,
>Topro CEO John Jenkins expanded on the announcement. Total rollout of
>the BMY contract could employ 60 of Topro's consulting engineers full time
>for the next two years according to Jenkins. This contract is a major
>validation of Topro's solution to Year 2000 problems in embedded chips.

Hmmm ... "could" ... hmmmm .... if what? We don't know.

Also, JDN: Your estimate used a very high hourly wage, but Jenkins may have cut a deal with BMY because of the size of the corporation, a la comments at the CC. I'm guessing your estimate is too high, but I'm hoping you are right.
