Use you HP Scanner on your new Gateway DVD systems and watch the pretty green screen... gw2k.com Green Or Scrambled Screen In DVD Player W/ HP Scanner Software ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Issue:After running the installation software for the HP ScanJet 5Pse Scanner (7000686), DVD movie player, with DVD Controller (6000574) and DVD player (5500425, 5500426 and 5500427), does not function. Symptoms will range from a solid green or a scrambled green screen. There may also be random lockups that range from 30 seconds to 2 minutes in length. Resolution: Uninstall by clicking on Start\Programs\Digital Versatile Disc(DVD)\DVD Player Uninstall. Extract the following 2 files to the to the Windows\System folder and the Windows\System\Iosubsys folder from the Windows\Options\win95_03. Cab after renaming the present ones : -wnaspi32.dll -apix.vxd use the following syntax. EXTRACT /L Reinstall the DVD Player, 7501373. Do not try and run the DVD Player and the HP scanner applications at the same time.
