I think yesterdays neutral rating by Bob Stern and his related comments should not go unnoticed. I am extremely bullish on AMAT as it is by far my largest position. Being an employee in a capital equipment Company, I have learned to respect Bob Stern over all other analysts (Best of the worst, etc..) This guy does ride the wave like the rest, however, in my opinion, is the best of them. I think AMAT will provide a decent return in 1998. However, it will be the other equipment companies that will drag it down from making huge strides. Overall, I think the market for capital equipment will be soft until we kick into gear with 300M for semiconductor and GMR for data storage. I believe that won't happen until the middle of the third quarter (Calendar)... I would appreciate any comments/questions as I am new to the thread as previously posted and do not want to come off as one of these know it all guys..

Can anyone let me know how to add a hyperlink to my post. Also, how do I leave a post for a specific individual from another post. Thanks
