Leaving no segment for AMD to thrive

IF indeed that is why they moved the price on the PII 233 down you would have to explain the following. First they have been competing with their 166MMX in the sub $1K segment, and the 233MMX in the $1-1.5K segment. By moving the PII 233 down they essentially make all of their Pentium MMX chips inventory problems for someone. That in turn means these chips get dumped in the under $1K market.

Bottom line is they are moving the Pentium MMX's out of the market very fast. Faster than the marketplace can handle!!! Are we about to repeat the classic Pentium inventory problem but this time with a slower selling MMX inventory?
