Lucinos,

Could be. I've been looking all over for news but all news is very positive. Hopefully this is just profit taking/tax loss selling and not bad news that someone knows in advance.

To all:
CPQ's problem is its addtional 1 Billion shares issued at the same time of stock split. I don't understand the latest stock split, its purpose is to cover up the additional stock issue. And also, the CEO's goal of 50 billion revenue in 2000 is also a sign future acquisation. That is why CPQ stock price has been under addtional presure recently.

Let's face what we don't want to face. Compaq has been highly touted at least since I first became interested and that was when the stock was in the mid to high 70's. It has steadily declined since then in spite of all the accolades. IMO, no one sells 200,000 + shares on a company they think will rise in the short term. We don't want to face the truth and that is that cpq is going lower and may go a lot lower. Anytime someone says something negative, they are jumped on, but the facts remain the same. Look what the market has done the last 2 days and look at compaq in comparison. I told my wife when the stock was up over a point today, that if I was in the money, I would have sold. It's not going anywhere friends except down. Wait to the bad news hits (whatever it is) and it will hit. BTW, I would gladly eat my words for a profit, if I was wrong, but I am sure I am right.

This means some big players just want to hold the stock price of CPQ, so trading for the
timbeing !!!!! Buy up at open and sell at close, hold the stock for couple of hours. This
does not mean something bad is comming. If something bad is comming, CPQ will drop more than $5 in the last half hour.
