So did I and so what?

You see the basic problem a lot of people on this thread have is they are looking for validation of their investment decisions not information.

If someone bought AMD for $12 and sold it at $35, that is wonderful. (OF course its less wonderful if they didn't sell it! Smucks.)

But since AMD is neither at 12 nor 35 what they have to say TODAY has to be relevant to where the stock is today --- 17 1/8.

There is one exception to this --- people who buy a stock like Intel at $1 a share or $20 a share. For these people it hardly much matters whether the stock is at 67 1/2 or 71 11/16. In fact I cannot understand why such a person would be reading any of these posts since the determining factor in their investment is capital gains and when to take them.

My suspicion is that they use this thread as a way to lure in new buyers to keep the price up. Or perhaps they are like Zazu Pitts in Von Stronhiem's film GREED. She would get into bed with all of her gold coins and rub them all over her body.
