“For me there is no doubt that an offshore wind farm located far out at sea will be a much better solution,” says Lars Christian Lilleholt who also believes in the visual benefit of offshore wind turbines which cannot be seen from land.

I wonder what the maintenance, operations, and replacement cost will be for such structures built in salt water,exposed to storms, and away from shore. Such costs are bearable for oil rigs but off shoe oil rigs produce a lot more value per pound of material exposed to the elements.
