Brian, it means that 1998 will be the year of the PII! You & Nus should consider buying some Intel now to offset any AMD losses. Everything is setting up for Intel to move come January. Intel stock usually takes off 6 months AFTER introduction of a major chip. This time next year, Intel will easily be in triple digits and who knows where AMD will be...

The Pentium MMX 233 will sell for less than $99 in quantity and that's probably going to make Sander's announcement of no profits the understatement of the century. Pulling a rabbit out of one's hat is one thing; pulling an elephant out of one's ear is quite another. Truthfully, it doesn't look very good and even the die-hard longs now appreciate the severity of the situation.
