In answer to your serious question: Does the discussion taking place on threads such as this have an effect on share prices.... I think, yes. If a prospective or current shareholder repeatedly reads claims of fraud or scam, regardless of how baseless the accusations are, they are more likely to avoid the stock or reduce their holdings. I believe the internet has opened up a terrific opportunity for CROOKS to badmouth a company, make FALSE claims, and in general undermine investor confidence and profit as share prices go down.

If you couple orchestrated online attacks with negative articles in the press you have the makings of what I call financial terrorism. Its a big problem and growing bigger (IMO).

The best way to avoid being victimized (i.e. losing money) by it is to stick with the large caps that are not as easily manipulated.
