My time frame is pretty long, 18 months at the inside, 3 years or more at the outside. I have other more predictable stocks that I make short-term plays on. With ANCR, I should probably should have sold when it first dropped 20-30%, but since I didn't, I may as well ride it out as far as I can.

This is the point that I keep coming back to. It is true that companies are attractive because of their sales story, or cool products, or management team, or whatever, but what it comes down to in the end is making money. The point of an investment is to make money, after all...
