williet,

i used to buy and hold gateway 2000 before i actually owned a computer and were using the internet. i think back at how i determined when to buy and when to sell. i would watch cnbc in the evenings and do the library research. at times when i noticed that gateway would drop in price i would find out an analyst had downgraded it. what i am driving at is this. now i have the internet and have access to constant information. i seem to react more now that when i did not have this information. i am not talking solely about gateway, but in general with other stocks also. i think that sometimes too much information or noise causes people to react more often. i am a holder of cpq and will stick with the fundamentals until i find they change. then i will sell, whether i have a gain or loss.

thanks for trying to calm down the person who was getting hyper over the day to day movements of compaq

larry

Williet, re The selling will be done and the Mutual Fund mgrs. will come in next week on MOnday and Tuesday to drive CPQ above 62 by 1/9/98. This is a fact.

You wouldn't be exaggerating, would you be? -G-

Fact n 1. thing known to be true or to have really happened. 2. truth; reality.

On the other hand, I do hope your senario becomes fact on 1/09/98.
