I just want to get this off my chest regarding the Orlando shooting. Never before in the history of America has one event proven everyone right. And I'm not kidding. I mean EVERYONE, including but not limited to the following: Gun control advocates - This would have never happened if guns were banned or the shooter was never allowed to get his hands on automatic weapons. Gun rights advocates - This would have been stopped a lot sooner if more people were armed at the nightclub, because when you have seconds, the authorities are minutes away. Muslim supporters - Because of anti-Muslim rhetoric thanks in no small part to Donald Trump, the shooter was driven to commit this heinous act. Anti-Muslim activists - The guy was a Muslim, he pledged his allegiance to ISIS even in a phone call to 911, and he fits the profile of the "religion of peace." When are we going to call out Islamic extremism by name? Republicans - The guy was a registered Democrat. 'Nuff said. Democrats - It's because the Republicans control Congress that nothing ever gets done. And this is the result of nothing getting done. Build-a-wall people - See, this guy proved to us that we need to keep Muslims from immigrating here. Open border people - But wait! He was born here and he grew up here! That proves that anti-immigration efforts are not only misguided, but also contributing to the climate of hate in our culture. LGBT community - The blood of everyone involved is on the hands of every homophobe in America, especially those who claim that homosexuality is a sin. Homophobes - Political correctness is destroying this nation. The gay victims got slaughtered because of their "in your face" attitude. Atheists - Religion killed everyone in that nightclub. Theists - Lack of religion and morals led to this guy doing what he did. I kid you not, I have seen EVERY single one of these explanations over the past 48 hours. EVERY single one, either in the mainstream media or on so-called social media. You want to know why nothing ever changes? Because everyone knows everything. Like teenagers who think they've figured out the world, we demonstrate the same collective maturity, and it's really disheartening. Tenchusatsu
