<<I am well aware of UTEK's cash hoard. However there are both advantages and disadvantages of EVSR [enterprise value/sales] vs. PSR. The cash may decrease if cash flows are negative. It also does not contribute to business purposes. EVSR is more useful if you want to find a takeover value of a company.>>

Raimondas, all these things are true. IMO, you are 100% correct. I guess our only difference is that the cash is more important to me because I'm just a simple-minded, dyed-in-the-wool value investor, who looks at buying a stock like he looks at buying an old clunker car -- pretty good mpg (EPS); decent radio (possible asset sale); full tank of gas (nice cash hoard). I just can't help myself - what can I say? Sure, I would have done a lot better over the last couple of years with a growth stock/earnings momentum strategy, but I just don't understand it enough.

I should add that that the one market parameter that I do have a warm spot for is investor sentiment. I really do feel much more comfy-cozy when there are a lot of bears around (broad market bears, as well as individual stock bears). So as far as I'm concerned, disclaimers like you made in post #1960: "All flames will be cheerfully ignored", are unnecessary. No flames coming from this direction - I love guys like you. :-)

Looking forward to your next one. Best of luck.
