Profits, we got the advertising flyer from Walmart in the mail this afternoon. I asked my wife to let me know if any computers were advertised. Walyymart is offering the Acer amd 166 complete with monitor for $999.00. Store manager says we can't leek them in stock as soon as we get them there out the door. The store is in Scotsdale AZ. where the consumers are well educated, fairly well healed in purchasing power, could afford just about any computer offered. and sophistocated enought to recognize a bargain. The gray hairs are buying them for web surfing, keeping up with arp and social security and Emailing friiends. Younger parents are buying them for their kids, to keep them from gunking up their more expensive Pentiums. Generation X are buying them cause ther affordable and so they can save commisions trading stocks.and doing investment research on the web.
