Margaret--- The two small caps you mentioned I am not (yet) familiar with. I generally watch for a special spot that has little competition and go for a small company that has the expertise and strong mgmt. I call on many people to see if anyone has any knowlege of them. The Y2K area I have traded in and out of for example,,, there I see IMRS and ACLY as the strength and for the next 2 - 3 years see more profit than most if not all big caps. A ton of research is required also. A search of the web and all financial info. All the company supplied info must be gone over carefully. The attitude is to tear the company apart. I buy those I can find no problem with and generally for the short term. TPRO is a prime example--- a short time ago I bought under 3, have traded it many times on a 1/2 - 1 1/4 gain and still hold at approx 6 1/2.... expect 10 -12 in 6 months. It is a very boring process and if it is being talked about it is probably too late for my fast POP. As the MAD MONK drummed into me volume comes 1st then the $$$.. so I look for big volume jumps compared to avg daily. One Friday ALYD went up 1/4 to 10 3/4 on about 8X normal volume. I placed a market order for the open Mon,,, got it at 11 1/4 and took it to the moon in a short time. Out on the drop then played it too. It wil be a strong Y2K contender IMO. These spot stocks have created losses I usually limit to 20% and bail. They have also created gains over 600%. It has to be with unneeded funds--- play money and have a ball.
