Thomas, Re: You have to cut prices and profit margins to move the inventory.

You may have overlooked the possibility that yields have increased faster than expected and consequently costs have also dropped faster than expected. Thus, cutting prices sooner moves the inventory faster BUT MARGINS ARE UNCHANGED. Revenue and profits are simply larger than expected under this scenario.

Re: Dell and CPQ gave this early indication that the products were not moving in early DEC.

Where did you get this "information"? I think it's made of whole cloth.
