Incorrect.

The PicoJava does not have or need a JIT, since it executes unmodified Java byte code, with no bit pattern translations.

The PicoJava does have an instruction trap mechanism, which traps some instructions to software emulations. That is NOT a JIT, but perhaps it is what you misinterpreted as a JIT.
