I don't know who Mr. Beale is, but I generally agree with your post and think it is very well put. Very articulate.

I'm kind of curious about this Mr. Beale guy, but I know of no time in history when the aristocracy cared a wit about the proletariat. Or even the bourgeoisie for that matter. And I also don't think it is healthy for billionaires to be structuring our societies. The best people for structuring a society is a social scientist in my opinion. Just like the best person to build a rocket ship is a rocket scientist :)>.

That is why the idea of republics/democracies was such a revolutionary idea. Only through democracies can the aristocracy be prevented from taking advantage of the proletariat. Anyway that's what I read from history.

In more progressive countries like the Nordic countries, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and much of Europe democracy is the great equalizer. So far it hasn't done much in this country and the billionaires have proliferated more than in any other country on earth.

I saw an Interview a few weeks ago that explained the exponential growth of the billionaires in this country perfectly, and I have to admit it never occurred to me although I consider it to be very obvious now.

During the last seven years, the billionaires/aristocracy has had unfettered access to practically free money. And they knew what to do with that money. So now they have more power than they did seven years ago. Much more power actually. The proletariat by and large, could not qualify for that free money and so they continue to fall behind. And the bourgeoisie could qualify for just enough to stay even

And so the inequality between rich and poor continues to grow. In my opinion only our democracy can bring that equation back into balance.
