Alan-- You are absolutely correct in your stance against anti-semitism. For centuries, from the Inquisition to pogroms through the Holocaust, people have used the same hate-filled statements against the Jewish people in order to justify killing them, stealing their property, torture, etc. Jews killed Christ, Jews are evil satanic worshippers and so on and so on. The perfect scape goats for life's ills or pure prejudice. It all so much hogwash and garbage it makes me puke. If Jews are thought to be evil, that invokes punishments to be inflicted against them. Completely unjust acts of crime rather. It is one thing to quote verses from a bible from 2000 years ago. It is quite another to make statements that an entire race of people are evil and satanic. What happened to your family is another example of what happens when nutcases use religion to justify unmitigated hatred towards other human beings. Simply beyond belief. To say an entire race of people is evil and demonic. Do you know that people from European farm communities earlier this century actually thought Jews had horns growing from their heads from the stories they were told. They never saw a Jewish person, but had just heard the same old anti-semetic stream of garbage from the same kind of people we see post garbage on this thread. I had told myself a long time ago I would refrain from getting muddled in this crap again on this thread. But you can only see ugliness for so long before needing to respond. I have my personal reasons as others from long ago here can attest to. So keep your chin up because you and Nancy are absolutely correct in your stance. But I will tell you from long ago your reponses will fall on deaf ears. Those who chant anti-semetic obscenities here are psychologically incapable of believing anything else. It is like those idiots who believe black people are inferior or Mexicans are lazy. The same old, hate-filled stereotypes still propogate from hate-mongers. Hal
