Any AR-15 bought legally is not an "assault rifle". Assault rifles are fully automatic weapons available only to the military or if one qualifies for a special federal license. Normal prices for fully automatic weapons, like an M-16, will range anywhere from $14,000 to $20,000.00.

What the libtards refer to as "assault rifles" are semi-auto rifles which look "scary" because they resemble rifles made for the military. None of them are any different than a hunting rifle....they fire one round per trigger pull.

Any one can be "assaulted" with just about anything....knives, hatchets, rocks, hammers, bombs, etc....

The whole discussion is ludicrous.

Their utility in public settings is really questionable to me, and the only self-defense scenario I could think of is home defense. And even then, if the perp is indoors, a rifle is still less wieldy than a pistol.

There are several better home defense weapons than this thing. It's a mania with these people...they somehow think that they can use these to defend themselves from a "tyrannical government"...it's laughable.
