Thanks for the Glasgow explanation, and re-assurance that more exacting 'quantitative' tests were used vs. some 'Qualitative' viewpoint.

As for masks for Tuberculosis contagion prevention, while working in the contagion ward with only one patient...in the '60's at the Army base HospitaI, I wore something like the old 3M dust type mask along with gloves, full gown, etc. I remember having to knock on the door and to point to the patients in-roon restroom...indicating that she should go into the restroom and close the door while I would then go into the room (holding my breath & thinking of little life saving prayers) and changing the bedding into clean sheets and removing food tray, etc. All done very Fast! At the time, I really wondered if the 'Tuberculi bacteria' were airborne anyway in the room and I might get even one invading my sinuses by getting in through the portal of my eyes-ducts. Oh well, seems I survived!
In microb. courses we use to do air studies on airborne microbes in rooms, and if only the public knew the results we found........Immunity, where are you? If we could just get a few BioTech companies to come up with harmless, 'need now' Immunity booster products!
