6/24/16 Contest update Brexit? Not to worry. I’m sure CRISPR & immunotherapy will come to the rescue. Just take a long nap, like maybe for a couple of years. ;-) Meanwhile, at Friday’s close, the Contest median was down -30.98% YTD (vs. down -29.37% YTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index (NBI) was down -26.42% YTD (vs. down -24.20% YTD a week ago), while the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index (SPSIBI) was down -26.10% YTD (vs. down -24.19% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index (NCI) closed down -5.98% YTD (vs. down -4.14% YTD a week ago). The Contest went “Remain!” DNAJOE’s portfolio, up 7.90% YTD, remained in first place, while MASTER’s portfolio, up 4.60% YTD, and DANIEL’s portfolio, down -5.23% YTD, remained in second and third place. At Friday’s close, 56 of the 58 Contest portfolios remained in the red, with 20 beating the NBI and 19 beating the SPSIBI. The 224 Contest stock picks had an average YTD loss of -25.23% and a median YTD loss of -28.48%, with a mere 39 of the 224 Contest portfolio stocks up for the year. Below is the Top Ten list.
