Everything about fascism was coming to and maintaining power. Nationalism was and is a tool. If strong enough, it keeps people from thinking too deeply and makes it easy to pitch things to the masses. The reason why it is associated with the Right is the nationalism and the emphasis on a strong leader. Whether that person is a dictator or a monarch makes no difference.

If this was intended as an argument against my prior comments, it is piss poor. Do you not realize that what you have described, sans nationalism, is Hillary Clinton?

She has great potential to be a strong leader, although a liberal one. But who is pitching to the masses (picking off key constituencies by giving them free shit is not ideologically different)?

Whether that person is a dictator or monarch makes no difference, and whether that person is a liberal or conservative makes absolutely no difference.

Seriously, you make a lot of assumptions that are just not based in fact. Mussolini was clear about the origin of fascism, and I know it is necessary to cover the 25 Points yet again with you.

Fascism has no essential component that is inherently rightest.
