Re -- We could use such a technology at our company as well. But I guess you would need an ultra fast network to make something like this to work.

For compute intensive tasks in a distributed system, there is no need for "ultra fast network", you can just ship the program to the idle machine, for computation and get the results back. no back and forth across the network see.. so no need for "ultra fast network". Say that slowly..
